R.I.P. Farrah

It seems like Hollywood is losing alot of angels lately. First Ed McMahon, then Farrah, and then Michael Jackson. In less than 24 hours.

Farrah Fawcett's funeral will take place tomorrow, June 30th. Fawcett, 62, died after a long battle with cancer. The ceremony will be private. Sources told People that Fawcett's longtime partner, Ryan O'Neal, is in charge of making arrangements.

Farrah Spreads Her Wings

The weekend is expected to be a somber one for friends of Farrah Fawcett. Her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal told People magazine that Fawcett “stays in bed now,” and her treatment “has pretty much ended.”

According to a friend of Fawcett’s, O’Neal’s interview also is a cue that it was acceptable to begin preparing for the inevitable.

“When Ryan spoke out like that, it was like a sign that it was OK for the goodbyes to begin,” said the friend. “We’ve all wanted to remain positive for as long as possible.”

According to the friend, Fawcett isn’t totally aware of how much the public cares about her. “She knows there’s tremendous support, but really right now is about being with her family and close friends.”

Farrah Was In On It Too!

Ryan O'Neal and his son, Redmond, were charged Wednesday with possession of methamphetamine.

Both face felony drug possession charges, deputy district attorney James Garrison said. Redmond O'Neal, 23, also faces misdemeanor charges for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of pepper spray.

He and his 67-year-old actor father are scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 13.


The father and son were arrested Sept. 17 after deputies searched their Malibu home, part of Redmond's probation. Police said drugs were found on Redmond and in Ryan O'Neal's living area.

Ryan O'Neal's attorney said the drugs did not belong to his client.

"It's unfortunate because Ryan O'Neal didn't possess methamphetamine, doesn't use methamphetamine and it wasn't his methamphetamine," attorney Mark Werksman said. "He never should have been prosecuted for this. We intend to vigorously challenge these charges in court, where they should be dismissed."

Farrah Fawcett was in the Malibu home where her son, Redmond, and her on-off beau, Ryan O'Neal, were arrested on Wednesday morning, according to reports.
A source close to the case told People, Fawcett was asleep in the senior O'Neal's home when the arrest happened.

As previously reported, actor Ryan O'Neal and his son, Redmond, were arrested after authorities stopped by the actor's home for a probation check on Redmond. Authorities reportedly found methamphetamine on the 23-year-old and a vile of the substance in O'Neal's room.


Farrah and Ryan are the Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson of their era.
