In a sermon delivered Sunday at his old stomping ground, Barack Obama's former pastor Jeremiah Wright referred to one of his harshest critics, Elisabeth Hasselbeck of ABC's "The View," as "that dumb broad."


Speaking at Trinity United Church of Christ for its 47th anniversary, Rev. Wright included his trademark array of history lessons, mimicry and singing, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. His ire, however, was saved for Hasselbeck, who Wright twice referred to as a "broad," including once as "that dumb broad."


Wright expressed pride in Obama's longtime association with Trinity United Church of Christ, where he recently retired after serving 36 years as senior pastor.

Star Jones: Still Bitter

In the November issue of Essence magazine, Star Jones opens up about her final days on ABC's "The View," saying of her former co-hosts "Those girls were hateful."

Regarding her infamous dispute with co-host/producer Barbara Walters preceding her 2006 departure, Jones adds "Barbara set me up."

Jones also talks to Essence about "falling into a depression" after losing her self-titled Court TV show last year; and her divorce from Al Reynolds, which was finalized in September.

As for Reynolds' YouTube video in which he admits that he "still loves" Star, Jones responds: "I'm not in love with him."

Jones, currently in negotiations to make a non-scripted TV comeback, has been photographed with rumored new flame Herb Wilson, an executive chef. Choosing not to address the relationship directly, she tells the magazine: "I want to fall in love again. I'm ready to love 24/7. I want happiness."

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Still Employed at 'The View'

Of course she is still there. Seriously, who else would hire this vapid skank aside from Fox News!?

Drama flared up on “The View” again this week, as the ladies argued about Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, but Elisabeth Hasselbeck says she can take the heat.
According to a rep for Hasselbeck, the co-host of the daytime talk show is staying on “The View,” not leaving for Fox News, as rumors have stated.
“While Elisabeth has a great relationship with Fox News, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that she is leaving ‘The View,’” a rep for Hasselbeck said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “Elisabeth is passionate in her beliefs and enjoys being a part of this dynamic group of women and engaging in daily conversations.”

Hasselbeck joined the show in 2003. She has butted heads frequently with her co-hosts over political issues, including several highly publicized arguments with then-moderator Rosie O’Donnell in 2007. O’Donnell subsequently left the show.
