R&B singer Usher has canceled several appearances at this weekend's Grammy Awards, including a performance at Clive Davis' Annual Pre-Grammy bash due to a serious family crisis.
According to attendees at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Bash, where Usher was to join Whitney Houston and Jennifer Hudson, Davis announced that the "Trading Places" singer had canceled his performance due to a 'serious illness in the family.'
Reps for the Grammy Award winning star had declined to comment or elaborate on the news at press time.
Rumors that Usher's wife, Tameka Foster, who gave birth to their second child in December, had died following plastic surgery were said to be false according to a source close the singer.
The source has however confirmed, through Access Hollywood, that Foster has suffered complications from a cosmetic procedure in Brazil.
