Did They Ask Beyonce For Permission To Work?!

Destiny's Child songbirds Kelly Rowland and Michele Williams are moving forward with two major projects this year. Beyonce is preparing the hitmen as we type this...

The duo, known widely for their stint with Beyonce in the multi-Platinum selling trio Destiny's Child, have each secured shows both on and off stage, with Rowland making her debut this week.

Kelly Rowland, noted for the hit "Like This" (feat. Eve), will take on the small screen via BRAVO's new series "The Fashion Show". The series will center around several designers who are vying for a chance to have their designs placed at retail among other prizes. In other words, don't look for House of Derriere creations on this show.

Speaking on the series this week, Rowland says "I think what makes The Fashion Show so unique is that it's the people's decision and not only that but, it's a real show for real people."

And thanks to a deal with London's West End (where Beyonce has NO pull or influence), Williams will take on the role of Roxie Hart in 'Chicago'!

Williams, also known for starring in Aida a few years ago, will take the stage at the Cambridge Theatre in July, reports BV Buzz.

With the forthcoming theatre debut on tap, Williams will add to a growing resume that includes an appearance as Suge Avery in the touring production of 'The Color Purple'.

We think Beyonce would DIE if Kelly or Michelle won an Emmy or Tony before her!

Another Destiny's Child Member Sabotaged!!

LeToya Luckett could've used some better luck during the release of her first album in 2006. But where there's a B, there's a speed bump.

Soon after her self-titled debut hit the stores, her label, Capitol-EMI, announced it would merge with Virgin Records to form the Capitol Music Group. In the midst of the restructuring, the group's executive vice president of urban music, Ronnie Johnson, died of a heart attack.

That's it. Beyonce fucked him to death!

"When you get caught up in a merger and then lose someone who was so involved in your project, there's nothing you can do," Luckett tells the Hollywood Reporter. "You don't have control; you can't release another album. So you learn to be patient."

Kelly Rowland: take notes!!!

Run, Kelly, Run!!!!

Several weeks after parting ways with her manager Mathew Knowles, Destiny's Child veteran Kelly Rowland has also ended things as a solo artist with her label, Columbia Records.

The Grammy-winning R&B singer, however, will continue with the company as a member of Destiny's Child.

As if they will ever reunite!

"Because Columbia Records has been my home base as an artist for more than a decade, the decision to move out on my own required a lot of soul-searching," said Rowland in a statement released Tuesday by the label.

"As a solo artist, I felt the need to explore new directions, new challenges, and new freedoms outside my comfort zone and my friends and family at Columbia have been incredibly understanding about my evolution," she continued. "I want to thank everyone at Columbia for the love and support they've shown and I will never forget how many good times we've had over the years."

translation: fuck you Columbia. "You've been under-marketing my albums the past few years and I am getting away from The Beyonce Show!!"

Rob Stringer, CEO, Columbia/Epic Label Music Group, said, "Kelly Rowland is one of our finest contemporary artists and a musical force to be reckoned with. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with Kelly and we will continue our working relationship with her under the Destiny's Child moniker. The decision for Kelly to seek other opportunities for her solo career was agreed upon mutually, and any reports to the contrary are false."

We feel fairly secure in saying the following...

Run Kelly, Run!

Kelly Rowland and Mathew Knowles have announced the end of their longtime business relationship, but both say they will always remain family.

The pair released a joint statement Wednesday announcing that he will no longer serve as her manager:

Kelly Rowland:

"Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance - both as a member of Destiny's Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family."

translation: "I am fleeing now while I still am in my 20s before Beyonce and her daddy fuck up my career even further. I am a star in my OWN right, muthafuckas!!!

Mathew Knowles:
"After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship. My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny's Child as a group. As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost, and as a dad I only have love for Kelly."

translation: We finally have let Solange out the basement and we will throw her raggewdy ass into DC as a last resort!

We here at Society Sex think Kelly should have done this a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago.

Better late than NEVER!

Top This, Britney!

Before she hit the stage, Ilene Alloverya told Donna Dumae that she had a dramatic performance in store. It was the last number of Dumae’s 12th annual “Friends Helping Friends” fundraiser for AIDS Services of Dallas held last Sunday, Aug. 31 at the Dallas Eagle.

At one point during her “Nobody Does It Like Me” number, Alloverya crawled across the floor to accept a tip from Dumae.

“During the song, he threw out his arms and then just dropped to the floor. It was incredible. At first, I laughed, thinking ‘Oh Ilene, you were right. That certainly was dramatic,’” remembers Don Jenkins (a.k.a. Donna Dumae).

But then Ilene Alloverya didn’t move. So Jenkins hit the stage yelling, “Ilene!” Others in the audience rushed the stage, too. A registered nurse began cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and Eagle owner JD Buchert began mouth-to-mouth, Jenkins remembers, “But it was too late.”

“It appears he suffered a massive coronary arrest,” Jenkins says.

Chip Doran (a.k.a. Ilene Alloverya) was 55 years old — a retiree and former Dallasite who relocated to Austin and drove to Dallas for the Labor Day weekend fundraiser. The United Court of the Lone Star Empire, a 30-year-old volunteer organization that raises money for Dallas charities, organizes “Friends Helping Friends.”

From Marie Osmond to Kelly Rowland (clip below), stars know the new thing in entertainment is the unsuspected fall-out.
