People magazine is reporting that marijuana was found along with numerous empty drug bottles during a police search of Michael Jackson's rented home shortly following his death, according to search warrants unsealed on Thursday.

Two bags of marijuana, a bottle of temazepam (used to treat sleeplessness), empty bottles of the sedatives lorzaepam and diazepam were discovered during the search, reports People.com. They also found four other empty pill bottles with no indication as to what may have been in them.

The warrant also says that, on the day of Jackson's death, as investigators were at the house, "family members of the decedent notified Los Angeles County Coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter that they had located a quantity of tar heroin in [Jackson's] bedroom on the second floor of the residence. Winter notified LAPD detectives of the found evidence." There is no mention in the warrant if the evidence really turned out to be heroin.

With these daily leaks of more drug use, we are surprised Amy Winehouse never knocked on MJ's door!

Paul McCartney Is Cheap!

Taped earlier today at The Ed Sullivan Theater – where the Beatles made their American debut in 1964 to launch the "British Invasion" – McCartney explained that he and Jackson "fell apart" over the Beatles catalog, which the King of Pop snagged only after McCartney told him that he planned on purchasing it himself.


The year was 1985. Jackson and McCartney had just recorded two songs together, "The Girl is Mine" for Michael's "Thriller" album and "Say Say Say" for Paul's "Tug of War." Jackson, one day, asked the Beatles singer to explain the value of artists owning their own music publishing rights.


In the tutorial, McCartney mentioned he was planning to buy rights to the Beatles music at an upcoming auction. McCartney said Jackson commented that he would buy the rights first. McCartney laughed it off as a joke.


Cut to the auction, where McCartney found out that his buddy paid $47.5 million to outbid him for the catalog. Adding insult to injury, the moonwalker then turned around a few years later and sold the rights to Sony for $95 million.


According to McCartney, Jackson informed him, "That's just business, Paul."


"We've never kind of got to it, and I thought 'hmmm,' so we kind of drifted apart," the 66-year-old told Letterman, but then added that "there was no big bustup."


He then said Jackson "was a lovely man, massively talented, and we miss him."

Well, what else can he say? Other parts of that time McCartney did not mention was how cheap he was when it came to the sale. Even Yoko wanted to pay more.

Tito, Gimme Some Tissue!!

Tito Jackson has confirmed that he and several siblings had an emotional intervention with Michael Jackson before his death in an attempt to end his addiction to prescription drugs.

Tito said he and his brothers and sisters conducted a military-style raid on the King of Pop's Neverland ranch.

"I never saw [Michael] on drugs. Not once. He deliberately did it away from us. He didn't want his family to know anything about that part of him. He did almost everything in his power to make sure we didn't know," Tito, 55, told Britain's Daily Mirror in a lengthy interview Wednesday.

But when the stories just grew too loud to ignore, "We had to act. It was me, my sisters Janet, Rebbie and La Toya and my brothers Jackie and Randy," Tito said. "We burst right into the house and he was surprised to see us to say the least. We went into one of his private rooms and had a discussion with him. Some of us were crying.

Grammy-winning music producer Quincy Jones argues in a controversial Details magazine interview - which we assume was done before Michael Jackson's recent death - that Jackson “obviously didn’t want to be Black” and suggests that his psychological problem may have resulted from some childhood trauma.

In response to a question relating to how Jackson had begun to distort his face, Jones said, “It’s ridiculous, man! Chemical peels and all of it. And I don’t understand it. But he obviously didn’t want to be Black.”

Jones added that all one had to do to get a sense of what Jackson thought about his blackness was to “see his kids.” Reportedly, all three of Jackson’s children were conceived using eggs from white women and sperm from white men.

Asked if he ever talked with Jackson about whether he wanted to be a Black man, Jones replied, “That’s not the way you do it.” But he said Jackson told him the chemical treatments of his face were necessary because of a disease. But Jones said he did not believe him.

MJ on the Auction Block!

Due to an onslaught of interest in an Andy Warhol portrait of Michael Jackson that was up for auction in New York, organizers have decided to remove the item from the block.

The Vered Gallery in East Hampton says enormous interest prompted the decision, reports the Associated Press. The auction was to close Sunday.

The 30-by-26-inch painting shows a smiling Jackson in a red jacket from his "Thriller" days. Pre-sale estimates ranged anywhere from $1 million to $10 million. The portrait is reportedly owned by a New York collector.

Gallery co-owner Janet Lehr says in a statement she wants to offer the 1984 work to "the greatest number of prospective purchasers."

Make that to drive the price up so she can make a pretty penny during this recession.

Michael Jackson's July 7, 2002 will was filed Wednesday in a Los Angeles court, naming his mother the guardian of his children and Diana Ross as a successor guardian to his mother if necessary.

The will, which estimated his worth at the time at more than $500 million, gives his entire estate to the Michael Jackson Family Trust. The documents said Jackson's estate consisted almost entirely of "non-cash, non-liquid assets, including primarily an interest in a catalogue of music royalty rights which is currently being administered by Sony ATV, and the interests of various entities."


His mother, Katherine Jackson, is named as a beneficiary of the trust. Jackson's longtime lawyer John Branca and John McClain, a music executive and a family friend, are named as co-executors of the will.

The King Of Pop Once Again

Michael Jackson will be the King of Pop once again when sales figures are released Wednesday.

According to preliminary reports issued by the magazine, three of Jackson's albums have moved over 100k since his untimely death Thursday, June 25.

The titles, which include "Number Ones," "The Essential Michael Jackson," and "Thriller," all sold at least 100k before Sunday night.

While Jackson's sales jump will not be reflected on the Billboard 200 albums chart, due to the albums being ineligible as catalog entries, Billboard says Jackson will dominate the catalog and overall sales charts. In comparison, last week's #1 catalog album sold 9,000 copies.

"Off the Wall," "Bad," "Dangerous" and "The Ultimate Collection" have also sold well at retail and through digital retailers such as Amazon.com. In fact, Jackson's digital sales surged to nearly 1.8 million last week.

Again, exact sales figures will be revealed Wednesday, July 1.

Madonna was apparently interested in joining Michael Jackson on stage for one of his 50 planned concert dates in London, according to her manager Guy Oseary.

There were longtime industry rumors that the two superstars had a falling out years ago after a planned duet for Jackson's 1991 "Dangerous" album never materialized. But according to Oseary and his Twitter page, the Material Girl was hoping to perform with the King of Pop this summer.


"A month ago Madonna told me she wanted to do a surprise performance at one of Michael Jackson's UK shows," Oseary tweeted.

Yeah, but did she run that by Michael's camp?

Reps for Michael Jackson's upcoming string of London concerts have announced that several will be postponed, prompting more speculation that the singer's health is not as good as his camp is claiming.

The opening night at the 02 Arena had been set for July 8 but will be pushed back to July 13, promoters stated. In addition, shows scheduled for July 10, July 12 and July 14 will instead be held in March 2010.

Jackson's rep, Dr. Tohme Tohme, denied earlier reports that the King of Pop is suffering from skin cancer. The singer's collaborator, Kenny Ortega, said the postponements were made not for health reasons, but to ensure the delivery of a flawless production.

"We apologize to all disappointed Michael Jackson fans and remain extremely dedicated and focused on creating an exceptional live music experience," said Ortega, according to the Associated Press.

Promoters said anyone who chooses not to attend the rescheduled shows will be entitled to a full refund.

Raymone K. Bain, the famous former publicist for Michael Jackson who became widely known during the singer's child molestation trial, has filed a lawsuit against the King of Pop for failing to pay her fee.

In the lawsuit, Bain is seeking $44 million from the entertainer. She claims to have overseen every aspect of Jackson's life, including arranging his housing, paying his bills, running his companies and helping to save him from foreclosure, among other things (hiding Jesus juice).

Among other things? Sounds like someone wants some hush hush money!

Drive-Through Plastic Surgery for Michael Jackson?

While Michael Jackson was inside of Cedars Sinai hospital in Beverly Hills Wednesday waiting for his ride, the ride was busy sideswiping a parked ambulance and then taking off.

According to KNBC, emergency medical technician Jamin Mauro and his partner were sitting idle inside of their ambulance when a black Cadillac Escalade sideswiped their vehicle, knocking their side mirror off in the process.

The driver then came to a stop, hopped out of the vehicle with an umbrella, and walked to the hospital doors to met Jackson, Mauro said.

"We were hit by the Escalade, and I was taking pictures for my company insurance," Mauro said. "About 30 seconds after, Jackson walked out of a medical building. He jumped into the Escalade and they sped off."

Mauro said a nurse confirmed that Jackson had been in the building. The Beverly Hills Police Department issued a related statement that did not contain any mention of Jackson, but noted that paparazzi had been following the Escalade at the time of the collision.

"The suspect's vehicle, a dark colored SUV, struck a parked vehicle causing moderate damage to the victim's vehicle. The suspect's vehicle was being followed by a group of paparazzi at the time of the collision," according to the statement.

Mauro said he and his partner were banged up in the crash, but more upset that the driver of the Escalade did not stop to exchange information.

"I don't know if Jackson told him to leave or not," Mauro said of the driver. "But they should have stayed."

In related news, a group of boy scouts remain missing and at large.

Tickets for Michael Jackson's 50 "final curtain call" concerts in London sold out in little over four hours Friday.

The tickets went on sale at 7 a.m., with fans queuing since Wednesday. They were limited to four tickets per household at a cost of up to $105 for general admission. VIP tickets cost up to $1,100. Around 750,000 were sold.

Tickets have already appeared online for resale, with one person seeking $35,000 for VIP tickets to the opening show on July 8.

Jackson originally announced he would do 10 shows at London's 20,000-capacity 02 Arena, but huge demand has seen a further 40 dates added. The King of Pop's run is now scheduled to finish next February.

If MJ and his nose last until next Black History Month (ha ha!), we'll be shocked.

Michael Jackson's Testament

Michael Jackson has reportedly recorded more than 100 songs that are only to be heard by his three children upon his death, according to a biographer.


Ian Halperin, author of the forthcoming book "Unmasked, The Michael Jackson Story," says Jackson's secret tunes were written and produced specifically for his seeds Prince, 11, Paris Katherine, 10, and five-year-old Prince Michael II, and will be revealed to them after he dies.

"I was astonished by the number of songs which have been held back," Halperin says. "I was told that he will not let them come out now but wants to leave them for his kids, a very personal legacy to them."


Also according to Halperin, the King of Pop has agreed to sing at a party for Russian billionaire Oleg Derispaska in April in exchange for $2.9 million.

Halperin says Jackson's contract stipulates that a full team of experts be on hand to ensure he is in full health. And if the Oleg gig is successful, it could mean Jackson will go ahead with plans for a residency at London's O2 Arena - his first major performances since his last tour in 1996.

"The concert would be his first in years and is being seen as a test to see if he could perform in London but a lot depends on his health," Halperin says. "The rider for the gig by Jackson's handlers includes a request for nine top doctors to be on site at all times, 11 gourmet chefs, 1,200 bottles of the world's finest bottled water, Bling H2O and six massage therapists."

“Thriller” may be headed to Broadway, but first Michael Jackson’s song and groundbreaking music video may be headed to court.

John Landis, the acclaimed director who co-wrote the video and shot “Thriller,” is suing Jackson, claiming the pop star has failed to pay him royalties for the project for the past four years.

Landis’ Levitsky Productions Inc. sued Jackson for unspecified damages in Santa Monica on Jan. 21, days before a Broadway producer announced he had bought the rights to adapt “Thriller” for the stage.

MJ needs to just sell one of his children on the black market to pay for all his legal bills. This is getting ignunt!

The author of a new biography on Michael Jackson claims the star is fighting for his life due to a rare respiratory condition, but a columnist who covers the singer closely says reports of the alleged illness are "extremely exaggerated."

As previously reported, author Ian Halperin told In Touch magazine and Britain's Sunday Express newspaper that the reclusive performer needs a lung transplant because he's suffering from Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency, an occasionally fatal genetic condition.

"He's had it for years, but it's gotten worse,' Halperin told In Touch. "He needs a lung transplant but may be too weak to go through with it. He also has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which his doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping. It's the bleeding that is the most problematic part. It could kill him.'

Jackson "can barely speak" and "the vision in his left eye is 95 percent gone," Halperin added. The King of Pop's brother Jermaine didn't deny the reports, telling Fox News, "He's not doing so well right now. This isn't a good time."

A $7 million breach-of-contract lawsuit was filed against Michael Jackson by the king of Bahrain's son over an album that was promised by the entertainer, but never delivered.


The Bell Pottinger Group says Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa filed the case against Jackson at London's Royal Courts of Justice. The suit was to be heard Monday afternoon, reports the Associated Press.


In 2006, Jackson announced the release of a new album for Khalifa's record label 2 Seas Records. Media reports say Khalifa has yet to see a completed album.

The lawsuit comes a week after Jackson gave up the title to his Neverland ranch in California.

MJ on Tour?

First there were reports that Michael Jackson would join his brothers in a reunion tour. Then, the singer, himself, released a statement denying the rumors, which his brother Jermaine had confirmed as true the previous day.

Now, Billboard.com is hearing talk that Jackson may follow in the footsteps of Prince and perform a long engagement at London's 02 Arena.

"A source confirms that there is a 'standing offer with no expiration' from AEG Live for Jackson to play at the O2," Billboard reported Friday. "The 02 is operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group, and any Jackson stand at the 02 would almost certainly be promoted by AEG Live, the live entertainment arm of AEG."

Sources tell Billboard that Michael's decision not to participate in the reported Jackson 5 reunion tour may stem from his desire to do his own touring next year.

In related news, Jackson's groundbreaking 1982 album "Thriller" jumped 41-1 on Billboard's Top Pop Catalog Albums chart last week after selling 31,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan (a 1,000% increase).

The move was fueled by the album's various anniversary celebrations that took place around the world last week. The set is now 2008's top-selling catalog album, having shifted 688,000 copies.
