R&B singer Kelis recently filed for divorce from rapper Nas, despite being seven months pregnant. So what could cause an expectant mother to give up on the picture perfect family?

Turns out more than just crazy pregnancy hormones are to blame for this split. A sex tape featuring Kelis and another rapper is responsible for the couple's marital troubles. Though filmed prior to their marriage, it seems Nas’ macho feelings were hurt.

And now, Kelis is angling for more money from her babydaddy. WTF?

Kelis & Nas: Something In The Milk Ain't Clean

Reps for Kelis have confirmed that the singer has filed for divorce from her husband Nas, despite being seven months pregnant with their first child.


According to reports, Kelis filed papers on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences. She is asking for spousal and child support, according to TMZ.

Nas was set up! the first family of hip-hop is going solo soon a Kelis will be set to keep her checks a-coming with alimony for the next twenty or so years. I guess she IS the boss.


Nas, 35, and Kelis, 29, met in 2002 at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party hosted by Diddy and were married in 2005 in Atlanta.

Kelis: Knocked Up

Rapper Nas and his wife, singer Kelis, are preparing for the arrival of their first child together, Us Weekly reported Wednesday.

A source says the "Milkshake" singer is in her first trimester and already has a baby bump.

"It's all they are talking about," the source told Us. "She is carrying hip-hop royalty! They are so excited."

Nas has a daughter, Destiny, from a previous relationship. The couple
- both New York natives - got married in January 2005 in Atlanta following a two-year courtship.
