MJ Sued...Again

“Thriller” may be headed to Broadway, but first Michael Jackson’s song and groundbreaking music video may be headed to court.

John Landis, the acclaimed director who co-wrote the video and shot “Thriller,” is suing Jackson, claiming the pop star has failed to pay him royalties for the project for the past four years.

Landis’ Levitsky Productions Inc. sued Jackson for unspecified damages in Santa Monica on Jan. 21, days before a Broadway producer announced he had bought the rights to adapt “Thriller” for the stage.

MJ needs to just sell one of his children on the black market to pay for all his legal bills. This is getting ignunt!

Oprah Is Gonna Kill the Illinois Governor Now...

Oprah Winfrey was surprised by Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s revelation Monday morning that he considered appointing the talk-show host to President Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat — a job she does not want.

On Monday, during a visit to ABC’s “Good Morning America” to defend his innocence in connection with accusations that he tried to auction off Obama’s Senate seat, Blagojevich said he thought Winfrey would make a good replacement. He faces an impeachment trial Monday.

“She seemed to be someone who had helped Barack Obama in a significant way to become president,” Blagojevich said. “She was obviously someone with a bigger bully pulpit than other senators. She probably wouldn’t take it.”

When asked by King if she would consider the seat, Winfrey made her answer a definitive one.

“Absolutely not,” she said. “I would have said, ‘Where would I fit it in with my day job? My mid-day job, my night job, my radio job, my magazine job?’”

While she has no plans to enter into politics, Winfrey admitted she was sure she could fill the needs of such a post.

“I think I could be senator too,” Winfrey added. “I’m just not interested.”

He's fuckin' with the wrong one now!

Heaux of the Day!!

Of course naturally, one would assume this would go to Barack Obama, and it officially does, but here at Society Sex, we decided to give out the unofficial prize to Jill Biden...

During a taping of the "Oprah Winfrey Show" Monday at the Kennedy Center in Washington, Dr. Jill Biden said that her husband, the vice president-elect, was given a choice of being either vice president or secretary of State.

This revelation came after Vice President-elect Joe Biden told Oprah that after then-Sen. Obama offered the job of VP he asked for some time to think about it and talk it over with his family.

Mrs. Biden interjected: "Joe had the choice of being secretary of State or vice president." She then seemed to realize she'd said something she wasn't supposed to have said.

Her husband laughed.

Said Oprah, trying to continue the conversation, "You said, 'Joe...?'"

"I said, 'Joe if you are secretary of State you will be away, I'll never see you,'" Mrs. Biden said. "We will see you at a state dinner once in a while. But I said if you are vice president, the entire family, because they worked so hard for the election, they can be involved ... They can come to our home, they can go to events, they can be with us and that is what is important to us."

Hillary people had NO COMMENT.

Hmmmm....

Beyonce At Inauguration

Beyonce, like many of us, chose to take the Amtrak from New York to Washington to attend the Inauguration celebrations. The singer wasn't taking interviews on the train Friday, unfortunately, but her presence was an apropos kick-off to the most star-studded weekend D.C. has ever seen.

Beyonce, aka Sasha Fierce, will sing “At Last” for the Obama's first dance at the Neighborhood ball on Inauguration night. Mariah Carey will also perform at that ball. The Jonas Brothers are here (and at my hotel, no less) as is Gabrielle Union, who is singing at the BET Honors Concert Saturday night.

Why are we secretly hoping the cart she in derails from the rest of the train?!!

Kelis: Knocked Up

Rapper Nas and his wife, singer Kelis, are preparing for the arrival of their first child together, Us Weekly reported Wednesday.

A source says the "Milkshake" singer is in her first trimester and already has a baby bump.

"It's all they are talking about," the source told Us. "She is carrying hip-hop royalty! They are so excited."

Nas has a daughter, Destiny, from a previous relationship. The couple
- both New York natives - got married in January 2005 in Atlanta following a two-year courtship.

Naomi Handles The Help

The legal issue between Naomi Campbell and her former maid, Gaby Gibson, has finally come to an end after both parties reached a settlement earlier this week.

While terms of the deal are confidential, a lawyer for the catwalk queen says both sides are happy with the outcome.

Gibson's lawsuit, filed in Manhattan, accused the supermodel of hitting her and calling her names. She also says the 38-year-old threatened to charge her with theft after being unable to find a pair of her designer jeans.

Campbell denied the claims and was never charged with any crime in the incident. Gibson worked for Campbell from November 2005 through January 2006.

Someone Said No To Oprah?!!

On Tuesday's episode of her daytime talk show, Oprah Winfrey revealed that she had asked to audition for a role in the film "Doubt," but was turned down by the director.

Winfrey told the movie's star Meryl Streep -- who appeared on the show via Skype -- that she asked to audition to play "Mrs. Miller" because she felt a connection to it and wanted to work with Streep. But she couldn't convince director John Patrick Shanley to give her a shot.

The role ended up going to Viola Davis. She received a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe for her emotional five-minute scene in which Mrs. Miller breaks down after hearing her son may have been molested by a priest.

Winfrey has spoken out about being sexually abused as a child.

Why can't Oprah ever play someone HAPPY for once? We are tired of her playing slaves, the abused, and the trodden.

You are a BILLIONAIRE, heaux! Live it up!

Child-Touchers: Celebrity Case # 317

Roman Polanski has no plans ever to return to the United States, according to a legal filing Tuesday in his campaign to win dismissal of a long-ago criminal case in which he pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl.

The surprise move by Polanski seeking dismissal of the case on Dec. 2 has produced a blizzard of legal documents including a prosecution reply which exposed for the first time explicit sexual details of the assault on the girl in 1977. It said the district attorney’s office would fight dismissal and maintained the law requires that Polanski appear in person if he wants a hearing.

The Academy Award-winning director of 2002’s “The Pianist” lives in France and could not return for a scheduled Jan. 21 hearing without risking arrest. He is also unable to travel anywhere outside of France because of the outstanding arrest warrant dating to 1977. The motion did not mention whether he plans to travel and work anywhere else in the world if the dismissal is granted.

Prosecutors have cited the fugitive disentitlement doctrine of law in arguing that Polanski must appear or be barred from having his motion heard. Hummel argued that, before he fled the country, Polanski — whose films include “Tess,” “Chinatown” and “Rosemary’s Baby” — signed a waiver of his appearance at all hearings in the case.
“The waiver does not count anymore,” she said. “There is a warrant out for his arrest.”

Prosecutors say there should be no hearing if Polanksi is not present.

Complicating matters further is an affidavit filed Monday by the rape victim, Samantha Geimer, now 45, who wants the case dismissed in order to stop renewed waves of publicity.

Geimer, now a wife and mother of three who has been public about the case since 1997, said she feels she is being victimized anew by prosecutors who recite the “lurid details” of her assault in their legal papers.

We don't need no lurid details. The fact that she was 13 when this happened is lurid enough. If he ever leaves France, arrest that child-touching bitch!

MJ, R. Kelly. Are any child-touchers getting jail time anymore?!

Madoff Scores Again

Kevin Bacon and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, fell victim to disgraced money manager Bernard Madoff’s alleged Ponzi scheme. Now Bacon, for the first time, is speaking out about his losses.

“There are a lot of things I’m grateful for: my health, my family, my career, my family's health," Bacon told Life & Style magazine. “We'll march on. We have to. There’s nothing you can do about it. You can't change what happened. Things could be worse. You remember that, and you go on with your life.”

Bacon said his first priority is to get back to work, so that he and his family can start rebuilding what they've lost. Bacon is currently appearing in “Frost/Nixon,” and last summer shot “My One and Only” opposite Renee Zellweger.

"I don't have anything lined up right now, but I need to work, for obvious reasons," Bacon said.

Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Eric Roth, who wrote “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” also lost money with Madoff.

The list just goes on and on. If you see him walking around Manhattan and happen to see him, pop a cap in his ass!

The Fugitive

An investment manager who staged a plane crash to evade the law was barely conscious and muttered the word "die" when federal agents found him bleeding from a slashed wrist, an investigator said Wednesday.

U.S. Marshals apprehended Marcus Schrenker, 38, late Tuesday at a northern Florida campground two days after the amateur daredevil pilot apparently tried to fake his own death in a plane crash. Authorities believe he parachuted to the ground and later sped off on a motorcycle he had stashed in central Alabama.

Schrenker fled not only the law but divorce, a state investigation of his businesses and angry investors who accuse him of stealing potentially millions in savings they entrusted to him.

This is why we stash our money under the mattress until 2010!

Mary Kay LeTourneau Law

Washington state law does not bar teachers from having consensual sex with 18-year-old students, an appeals court ruled Tuesday in dismissing a case against a former high school choir teacher.

The teacher, Matthew Hirschfelder, was charged with first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor for allegedly having sex with a Hoquiam High School senior in 2006. He challenged a judge's refusal to dismiss his case, arguing the student wasn't a minor because she was 18.

Hirschfelder, who was 33 at the time, also denies any sexual relationship occurred.
The state's code of professional conduct for teachers still prohibits any sexual advance toward or contact with pupils, whatever their age, and teachers can be fired for it. Sexual contact with students younger than 16 is considered child rape or molestation; the age of consent in Washington is 16.

Teachers fuckin' students is nothing new. But now it is approved?!

Ann Coulter is a B I T C H

We have no words, but Ann Coulter sure does...

Lil Kim vs. Faith Evans: Round ____

It's no secret that Lil Kim is not supportive of the upcoming film "Notorious," a biopic about her late friend, mentor and lover, Notorious B.I.G.

The pint-sized rapper told Hip-Hop Weekly that she blames Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace, and his widow, singer Faith Evans, for what she calls a negative portrayal.

"I've had enough and I'm about to expose them both. ... I've been quiet for a long time," Kim told the magazine. "I'm very disappointed in Faith. There's nothing Faith or Ms. Wallace could do to stop me from reppin' B.I.G. all day. I'm gonna always do that. ... It's time for Ms. Wallace to be exposed. "I was not involved in the movie," she continued. "[The filmmakers] never came and asked me anything about Biggie, but again, this was Faith and Ms. Wallace's movie."

Furthermore, Kim – who has not seen the film – said she thought actress Naturi Naughton was a bad choice to play her and that Jamal Woolard was not the right actor to portray Big.

Naughton, meanwhile, told MTV that she had to make do without Kim's involvement while researching the role.

“I had the guys from Junior Mafia [Biggie’s entourage and labelmates on Bad Boy records] help me out a lot,” Naughton said. “I really just researched on my own. I studied videos and spent time in Brooklyn to get an idea of the mentality.”

When asked about her attempt to contact Lil Kim, Naughton cryptically offered, “I don’t know. I tried to reach out to her. I think there was some conflict. I’m not sure.”

Faith Evans, who was married to Biggie, told MTV.com, “I don’t know what [Kim] wanted. But we all signed the same agreement to be portrayed in the movie."

"I try my best not to think about it. It's kinda sad," she continued. "I got four kids, and I definitely don't have time for this type of sh**. It's just sad. I don't know Kim's story like that. The part of my life that she was a part of, that's what was in my book. This movie is not relative to my book other than that there are certain things in there. This is not my movie. I didn't write the script. Any characters in the film had to agree for their life rights to be in the movie. I don't think I would have signed anything had I felt I was not portrayed properly. I think she had the opportunity to do that. I could be mistaken. I wasn't there."

Nay to Kanye!

In an interview with Vibe magazine, the Grammy-winning rap artist said he hopes to have fewer fans in the future.

“I made a decision. I wanna make popular music, but I want less fans,” West declared. “I want the freedom of having less fans. It's like the freedom of having less money. If you have less money, you have less responsibility.”

Well, sooner or later most celebrities enjoy both of those “freedoms,” but West doesn’t want to wait too long for his big chance at being a little less famous.

“It's like Björk,” he explained. “If she wanted to pose naked, you'd be like, 'Oh, that's Björk.' But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it. I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I'll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture.”

Um, we are not fans anyway, and there are abuot 10,000 people we'd rather see nude first.

Yuor thoughts?

Jill Scott: Preggers!

By simply walking on stage to promote her new HBO series "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" at the Television Critics Association conference Friday, star Jill Scott revealed she is six months pregnant with her first child.

The film, due to premiere on the network in March, is based on the best-selling novels by Alexander McCall Smith and was filmed entirely on location in Botswana.

"The first trimester I spent in Botswana," said Scott, who is due April 25. "That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You're sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days."

Still, the actress, who is engaged to drummer Lil' John Roberts, says she's glad she went through with the plans to film. "My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it."

Scott, 36, is a three-time Grammy Award winner and was previously seen on the big screen in Tyler Perry's 2007 film "Why Did I Get Married?"

Fergie Ties The Knot

In a white fantasy wedding, Fergie and Josh Duhamel were married Saturday under magnolia trees filled with thousands of white roses, PEOPLE confirms.

The Black Eyed Peas singer, 33, wearing a Dolce & Gabbana gown, and the actor, 36, tied the knot at the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu.

Fergie carried a bouquet of white flowers studded with crystals as the couple exchanged H. Stern rings engraved with personal messages. Ten bridesmaids were dressed in contrasting black.

Among the invited guests were new parents Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, Mario Lopez, Stacy Keibler, Kid Rock, Slash, Kate Hudson (Fergie's costar in her upcoming movie Nine), the members of Black Eyed Peas including will.i.am, and Duhamel's Las Vegas costars James Caan, Molly Sims and Vanessa Marcil.

We give this one 3 years, tops.

Golden Globes

“Slumdog Millionaire” lived up to its underdog theme at Sunday’s Golden Globes, sweeping all four of its categories, including best drama and director for Danny Boyle.

But it was Kate Winslet's night as she took home two globes - one for each hand:

Kate Winslet won two Globes all on her own, best dramatic actress for “Revolutionary Road” and supporting actress for “The Reader.” “The Wrestler” also had two, dramatic actor for Mickey Rourke and best song for Bruce Springsteen.

Winslet, who has previously been nominated five times without winning at both the Globes and Oscars, won for her role as a woman in a crumbling marriage in “Revolutionary Road” and as a former Nazi concentration camp guard in “The Reader.”

“Revolutionary Road” was directed by Winslet’s husband, Sam Mendes, and reunited her with her “Titanic” co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.
Woody Allen’s Spanish romance “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” won for best musical or comedy film.

The three films that led the Globe field with five nominations each — “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Doubt” and “Frost/Nixon” — all were shut out.

As expected, the late Heath Ledger earned the supporting-actor Globe for his diabolical turn as the Joker in the Batman blockbuster “The Dark Knight.” The Globe win boosts Ledger’s prospects for the supporting-actor honor at the Oscars, whose nominations come out Jan. 22, the one-year anniversary of the actor’s death from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

The award was accepted by “The Dark Knight” director Christopher Nolan, who said he and his collaborators were buoyed by the enormous acclaim and acceptance the film and Ledger’s performance have gained worldwide.

“All of us who worked with Heath on ‘The Dark Knight’ accept with an awful mixture of sadness but incredible pride,” Nolan said. “After Heath passed, you saw a hole ripped in the future of cinema.”

Only one actor has ever won a posthumous Oscar, best-actor recipient Peter Finch for 1976’s “Network.”

The Queen Is Robbed!

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday is reporting that Queen Latifah was the victim of theft last Monday after someone stole more than $10,000 in jewelry from her villa in Tobago.

The actress/singer, born Dana Owens, was vacationing with a female friend at the $1,000-per-night Stone Haven Villas in Black Rock, Tobago, when burglars struck on Monday, the paper reported.

Latifah reportedly checked in under the name Cynthia Hadden. According to the newspaper, she returned from a barbecue brunch held in her honor by the establishment's management to discover a bracelet, two gold rings, a gold chain and a silver ring had disappeared from her room. Police were called to the resort after staff security conducted a search of the estate.

Travolta's Son Dead

John Travolta's 16-year-old son Jett died today while the family was vacationing in the Bahamas, Reuters reports. The young man reportedly died after suffering a seizure at his family's vacation home on Grand Bahama Island. According to Access Hollywood, Jett fell and hit his head on the bathtub in his hotel room, and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. Jett, who had a history of seizures, is John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston's eldest child. They also have a daughter, Ella Blue, who was born in 2000.

For many years now, there have been rumors about the Travolta's being in denial about their son's Autism, relying on their religion to address the situation. According to Scientology teachings, Jett has been given the status of "degraded" where the church says he can cure himself by working harder on the church's teachings. The Travoltas deny that Jett has Autism, claiming that their son's condition is Kawasaki syndrome, a disease characterized by high fever, skin rash and swelling of the lymph nodes.

If anyone watched CNN when the story first broke, it looked like to us the network went out of its way NOT to mention Scientology and these rumors.

Let's wait until the autopsy.

J-Hud Back This Month?

The New York Post is reporting that Jennifer Hudson is being courted to perform at the swearing in of President-elect Barack Obama, in what would be her first appearance since the October murders of her mother, brother and nephew.

"Organizers want Jennifer to sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the Inauguration on Jan. 20," a source told Page Six. "They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter."

We cannot wait for her return!!
